Photograph by Nyttend showing historical markers at the Modoc Rock Shelter, located on the northeastern side of County Road 7 (Bluff Road) southeast of Prairie du Rocher in Randolph County, Illinois, United States. The rockshelter is a major archaeological site and has accordingly been designated a National Historic Landmark. It is also part of the French Colonial Historic District, a historic district that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Modoc Rock Shelter was used by Archaic Native Americans.
