Description

Design by Mordecai Gorelik for John Howard Lawson's Processional. The modernist four-act play dramatizes the plight of striking coal miners under martial law and celebrates the working class with jazz music. First produced in 1925, it found greater success when it was revived under the Federal Theatre Project in 1937.
