The artists responsible for the prints in this collection are Tatsugoro Nagashima, Watanabe Nobukazu, Kobayashi Kiyochika, Utagawa Kokuimasa, Adachi Ginko, Mizuno Toshikata, and Kobayashi Toshimitsu. Many of these prints are propaganda or war reports sent back home to encourage/inform support of the Japanese Imperial army. This collection is a part of The Open Court Publishing Records and was put together by the Special Collections Research Center at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
