The survey was conducted by the Center for Archaeological Investigations (CAI) on a wooded knoll located on the Southern Illinois University farm property in Carbondale, Illinois. The work helped identify subsurface anomalies consistent with graves, which were later confirmed through limited archaeological excavation.</text>
