Maire O'Neill in General John Regan at the Hudson Theatre, 1913. Born in 1885 as Mary Allgood, O'Neill was an Irish actress of stage and film. She also performed at the Abbey Theatre and had been engaged to Irish playwright and Abbey manager John Millington Synge before his death. A typed note related to the image reads:"MISS MAIRE O'NEILL in "General John Regan" Beginning at the Hudson Theatre November 10th [1913 written in pencil] (The Liebler Company Managers)".
