Y2K

In 1999 there was great fear revolving Y2k. It was widely speculated that begining on Jaurary 1, 2000, computers across the world would confuse the year 2000 with 1900 and in doing so create pandemonium. Nevertheless, some viewed the Y2k hysteria as simply a money making scheme or a secret conspiracy. The documents on this page explore the local reverberations of the Y2K issue in St. Louis.
