1999: A Dive into the Clarence Harmon Papers to Explore the Issues Facing St Louis at the Turn of the Twenty- First Century

This exhibit explores some of the documents in the Clarence Harmon Papers to examine the issues and concerns facing the city of St. Louis in 1999. The year 1999 was a pivotal juncture in modern history and one which is oddly comparable to present matters grappling the United States in 2021. Gun control, imunization mandates, fear and conspiraces revolving around Y2K, are some of the many issues which faced Mayor Harmon in 1999.
